Team member spotlight: Germo Hünerson- the head of development team

│Team member spotlight│ HotelBuddy would not be HotelBuddy if it wasn’t the great team behind it.  We have one of the best development teams and we are very happy to bring them on to the spotlight, starting with the development project manager- Germo. Germo’s colleagues say that “Germo is a “work hard, party harder” kind of guy. He gets a lot done at work, regularly enjoys climbing and spending time at the sea and never misses a party with colleagues.” He is also described as a very calm and helpful colleague, who never says no to a challenge. He is the soul of the collective and always keeps the conversation going and takes interest in other people. Sometimes it may seem that Germo is resting while working, as how you would otherwise explain that he is so tired in the mornings, but full of energy at the end of the working day? Recently Germo also picked up an interesting hobby- he discovered sailing and now is on the way to become a certified sailing boat captain himself. Ay ay, captain Germo!

In order to get to know him better, we did a little interview with him and asked him a few questions:

What’s your job title/role at Hotelbuddy?

Software project manager.

What sort of duties do you have at Hotelbuddy?

Trying to come up with more effective and economical solutions for problems in hand. There is always a hard way and an easy way, I believe in the easier way as long as we can maintain integrity, scalability and reusability.

What’s something you find challenging about your work?

Getting other stakeholders to agree, that sometimes it is more reasonable to start out with the simple solution, instead of trying to solve all the problems with the first try.

Cattle – because of their resourcefulness. They can be used for so many different purposes.

More of a night owl.

 Brooklyn Nine-Nine

What’s your idea of a perfect day?

Nice weather, me and a couple of friends on a sailboat, no land in sight. Just cruising, looking at the waves and admiring the vast blue water.

Is your glass half full or half empty?

Half full – i always prefer there would be a little bit more.

If you had a warning label, what would yours say?

Not meant to be used for coming up with original warning labels.
